Table 1 - Census Information
In the 2001 Census of Population, the school was located in the New Trimdon and Trimdon Grange ward.
The school's ward is included in the table below. It shows some key indicators for up to 10 wards that
contribute the greatest proportion of the school's pupils from whom we have been able to match pupil data
with their home postcodes.
The following information has been provided by the Head teacher:
The School /Parish Setting Central position brings future generations of parishioners together while the whole Parish First Communion Programme taken after school unites our school members with those who do not attend our school. The development of the ‘School Family ‘ breaks down regional and cultural differences based on home locality and establishes important cross parish links.
The celebration of termly masses in the school setting brings together adult members of the various parishes and establishes relationships cross parish.
The celebration of Holyday Mass at St. William’s, Trimdon Village develops the ‘Parish Family’ ethic, with the older members of the parish community developing relationships with the children and helping them understand parts of the Mass. Parents come along too developing bonds with the parishioners. The First Communion Programme with displays in Church develops interest and prayer bonds with other members of the Parish.
