Welcome to stjosephonline.com
Our Parish is made up of three separate congregations served by St. Joseph, Patrick & Cuthbert of Coxhoe, St John Fisher of Sedgefield & St William of Trimdon. All three churches are Roman Catholic communities of faith serving the people of their villages and the surrounding community in south east Durham, United Kingdom.
Our Parish began its life in 1839, as Sedgefield St Joseph with one Priest serving the whole area. Since then it has moved house, split into three and now appears to have gone full circle with three Parishes being served by one Priest.
We are dedicated to the spiritual growth and wellbeing of the people in the parish and throughout the wider community, through Church, School and family life and to this end the Churches support the whole community by word, deed and example. In fact worshiping together at the Eucharist every week is the heart of our Parish life. We hold a variety of Masses at each of the Churches together with a variety of events and activities; please use the link to see what’s happening here and at our school, St Williams.
This web site will acquaint you with our Parish but don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions by contacting us.
